Summer has ended and we’re now in the beautiful Autumn season here at camp!  Foliage is beautiful and everyone should plan a visit to the camp to see it before the leaves fall.  , While events at camp are now slowing down, the camp stays busy.  Planning for upcoming events, preparing and planning for projects and brainstorming new ideas to make our camp an even bigger, better, more beautiful place are always a continual part of our days here at THCC.  While we can relax and see the beauty that God put here in our camp when it’s not so busy, God has indeed blessed us by giving us the location that we’re in.  We have this beautiful lake and the surrounding forest land, the trails, the prayer path, and our hearts and minds constantly seek out God’s plans for our camp.  We’ll take a breath, seek God’s face and God’s plans, and then continue on with our efforts to expand our camp into a place that will serve so many others!  Rochelle’s Shack, the Ropes Courses, the Tree House, Obstacle Course, Zip Lines and, farther down the road… horses and all the beautiful things that they bring us (of course, all the upkeep they require comes along with it).  Our most immediate needs include an outdoor wood furnace (a fuller description of this is on the Wish List page) and with this, our camp would be on its way to becoming a year-round facility!  Of course, with all of the plans and goals that we have for THCC, the need for volunteers, donations, and fund-raising will be even more critical.  God will provide everything that we need at the time that we need it.  We love all of our volunteers and we are so very grateful for all who have given of their time and money to help THCC achieve and realize it’s fullest potential!  Happy Autumn!

While the Labor Day has weekend has “officially” ended the summer season here at the camp, there is still a lot happening.  We had our 1st Annual Labor Day Walk-A-Thon (we had six people that walked 21 miles from Chicopee to the camp in Huntington, to raise money for some specific projects here at camp, one of them being Rochelle’s Shack.  It was a successful journey for the participants and, while they arrived at camp, tired and sore, having trained for several months, none of them would trade the experience!  We would like to have more participants next year.  We will also be having our second annual Memorial Day walk to kick off next year’s summer season.  Any and all are always welcome to participate.  For more information, just call us here at the camp.

While summer is over, it doesn’t mean that we are any less busy.  Check out the upcoming events page to see some of the things that are scheduled over the next couple of months.  We are constantly exploring new and different avenues of getting the word about our camp out to everyone.  We are so blessed to be here and to meet all of the people (new and old friends) who come to THCC!  God has indeed looked over us and blessed us and THCC in ways that we sometimes don’t even understand.  The beauty and serenity of THCC and its location are unrivaled in this part of the state and we just feel such a connection to God and to the wonderful world that He created and put here for us to explore and enjoy!  If you’re going to be in the area, don’t hesitate to stop by and visit our littlecorner of paradise!

Well, summer is rapidly coming to an end.  Labor Day, and the “official” end of summer is right around the corner.  The camp has been hopping and busy all summer.  It started with a singles retreat on Memorial Day weekend, we had many weekend and week long events, a month of summer camp with Tidal River Christian Camp in July, and weekend and week long events now in August.  There’s another singles retreat over Labor Day weekend, some weekend and week long events in September and October, as well as another singles retreat in October.  God has truly blessed Timothy Hill Christian Camp!  The Camp is planning a couple of fundraisers to raise money for some specific projects.  One of these fundraisers is a Walk-A-Thon on Labor Day.  To donate money for this very worthy cause, see our homepage.  The Walk-A-Thon is to raise money for Rochelle’s Shack… a project that is very near and dear to the hearts of all of us here at THCC.  We will be making a decision on the exact location of our Shack and making plans to start designing and breaking ground on this project when God has led us to the right timeframe and we have the financing in place.  We so love our camp and our camp has meant so much to so many of our visitors and friends.  Where else can you find such beauty… the green forests, the glacial lake, the space, and the openness…  and always the presence of God everywhere that you look… all in one location?  We very much look forward to all of the challenges and growth that God lays in our path as Timothy Hill Christian Camp grows and evolves and begins realizing its fullest potential.  Our camp is an ever-changing place, now and in the future, and it will always bring God to those who visit.  Travel with us as we continue on the path towards helping Timothy Hill Christian Camp become the life-changing place, here on this earth, that God has set forth for it to be.  It has been, and will continue to be, a place of love and peace and growth… both towards God and each other.  New friendships are made, old friendships are rekindled, and relationships with God are begun and strengthened.  If you’re in the area make sure and stop by our camp… visit us, spend some time with the endless nature, visit the gorgeous glacial lake, and just spend some time communing with God… and away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.  I guarantee that, if you just spend time in quiet meditation and reflection, you will leave feeling refreshed and rested.  Our camp has that affect on people.  Come see for yourself the beauty and tranquility that God has given us at Timothy Hill Christian Camp!

Our Worship Festival is arriving fast!  Right now, we have all 6 bands confirmed!  Our worship festival site is linked to our website now.  Check it out here!  Imagine… 3 days of inspiring, Christ-centered, God-focused music to lift your spirits, build your faith, and increase our relationship with our Creator… all in our beautiful camp setting right on the amazing Norwich Lake!  We have a lot of events scheduled this summer and we’re all working hard to make this our best camp season ever!  Next month the camp will be full of youth campers… all month long they will be enjoying our camp and building their relationships with new and old friends, having fun and enjoying all that our camp has to offer them, including having time to just commune with God.  We are making long-term plans for the camp and will be building and adding a lot of things for your enjoyment along the way.  Make sure to stay tuned for all of our new and future developments!  We are clearing the field for our upcoming Worship Festival and this space will be available in the future for different types of events.  Our website has a list of just some of the things that we’d like to see added to our camp.  Check it out at the link above, then click on Programs & Projects.  Our Wish List also has some other things that we’d like to see added to our camp as the funds become available.  We’re all staying pretty busy building and maintaining our camp and making things bigger and better for all who visit!  Our camp is not just available for our youth… many adults, too, have enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy, Timothy Hill Christian Camp and are in awe of the beauty of the  land and the lake.  Check us out to host your next retreat or event!  The calendar fills in quickly so don’t wait too long!  We always stay focused on what God wants for us and for our camp and to the most important goal of building up and empowering our children!  At THCC, we are focused on building relationships with our community, building better and stronger relationships with our children, always staying true to the vision of Timothy Hill, and staying focused on God and His plans for us as we grow!  Join us as we enter a new phase of growth here at Timothy Hill Christian Camp!

Well, we are gearing up for another summer season.  We are all very excited about our Worship Festival next month.  June 28, 29, and 30th.  Make sure to come join us for 3 days of heart pumping, inspiring music dedicated to worshiping God in all of His glory!  Please click here for more information about, and to register for, the Worship Festival.  Timothy Hill Christian Camp has been undergoing some pretty big changes and growth but still we stay true to our vision  and to God’s reasons for us being here.  July is our youth/teen camp month.  The camp will be full of the sound of young voices all dedicated to and living their lives for God.  It’s such an inspiring thing to see when someone accepts God for the first time into their lives.  And, that’s what THCC is all about.  Celebrating God and building the vision to build-up and empower our children.  We have a huge vision for the camp and we are all excited about moving forward, step by step, and working to build and achieve the goals of THCC! While many of our goals and our vision centers around our children, remember that the camp is available for adult events as well.  Just this past weekend THCC hosted a Christian Singles Retreat and the camp hosts many events throughout the year as well.  Our website will be growing and changing as the camp grows.  Make sure that you you keep in contact and stay with us while we look to the future and to the vision of empowering our children!
